Semi-transparent layers can look floaty and disconnected if they lack defined boundaries. Visual anchors are cues that help the eye identify card boundaries, structures, and layout divisions.
Creating Anchor Points
- Double Borders: Use a light inner border and a dark outer border to make card edges stand out against different backgrounds.
- Background Highlights: Place saturated background blobs behind translucent cards. This anchors the cards and makes their frosted text boxes easier to see.
- Soft Shadows: Use a subtle, dark gradient glow beneath components to give them a physical presence on the page.
